Alger Island is a state park and is
directly across the lake. Many guests like to paddle around the Island.
Usually the mornings are calm and the afternoons
rough. The earlier in the morning, the
calmer the Lake
.

The Four Seasons in right on the Lake. We have 4 touring canoes, 5 kayaks and 2 paddle boats as well as paddles and personal floatation devices which are provided free for the use of our guests. We also have a sailboat (Sunfish) for rent
there
are many opportunities to get on the water, with
miles of lakes and
streams in the area. How about a run down the upper Hudson or
Moose on a raft or kayak, or, a cruise down the Middle Moose and
then return by train? Lessons for all kind of paddling are
available from many local sources. Don't have a boat, no
problem.
