Alger Island is a state park and is directly across the lake.  Many guests like to paddle around the Island.

The Four Seasons in right on the Lake. We have 4 touring canoes, 5 kayaks and 2 paddle boats as well as paddles and personal floatation devices which are  provided free for the use of our guests. We also have a sailboat (Sunfish) for rent

AlsoWater runner  there are many opportunities to get on the water, with  miles of lakes and streams in the area.  How about a run down the upper Hudson or Moose on a raft or kayak, or, a cruise down the Middle Moose and then return by train?  Lessons for all kind of paddling are available from many local sources.  Don't have a boat, no problem. 
Local marinas rent all kinds of crafts from party boats to ski boats and, of course, we have the docks to moor them as well as a place to store your trailers..
