The Fulton Chain of Lakes consists of lakes which are linked from Old Forge to Blue Mountain Lake.  The lakes are regulated by a dam in Old Forge (by the covered bridge) which was originally constructed by trappers in the late 1798 to finding and shipping beaver skins.  For years since then, canoeists have enjoyed paddling these lakes. Garbarino's Four Seasons Cottages, LLC is located on the north side of Fourth Lake about 5 miles east of Old Forge.  The picture was taken looking east towards Inlet, NY.  The inlet to 3rd Lake is at the bottom of the picture. 7th Lake can be seen in the distance in the top right hand corner of the photograph. Alger Island is located in the middle of Fuorth Lake. It is a state park and accessible only by boat. It makes a great destination for paddling and swimming (.4 miles one way)
