Alger Island
is a State Park directly across the lake
from Garbarino's Four Seasons Cottages. It is about .4 swim or padd
le
from our lake front. The hike around the island is about a mile.
Pine needles made the path
soft and springy.
A lagoon in the middle of the Island provides wonderful photo opportunities
as well as a good place to catch small mouth Bass. On a calm morning, there
is nothing more soothing than a paddle around the Island before breakfast.
There are docking facilities on the east end of island for picnics.
Camp
facilities are available for rent.
