Alger Island
is a State Park directly across the lake
from Garbarino's Four Seasons Cottages. It is about .4 swim or padd
le
from our Lake Front. The hike around the Island is about a mile
on soft pine needles.
A Lagoon in the middle of the Island provides wonderful photo opportunities
as well as a good place to catch small mouth Bass. On a calm morning, there
is nothing more soothing than to paddle around the Island before breakfast.
There are docking facilities on the east end of island as well as camping
facilities.
