The front nine pretty well exhausts itself on the
first hole. The downhill tee shot is to a wide open fairway.
The green however is tucked back in a corner on the left and is
protected front and left by a pond. Depending on the wind
(usually unfavorable) and softness of the fairway(usually fairly
wet), you can be left with a long downhill shot to a terraced and
very long green (picture looking from
green back to fairway). This second shot is
great for getting your adrenaline started. I think the hole was
originally designed as a 3 shooter but plays as a par 4.
The only other hole which tests your accuracy is
the 6th, a par 3 of medium length. Your tee shot is to a green
which is severely slanted back to front and right to left and is
protected by a pond in front and trees left, right and back..
The only landing area is on the right side of the green since a ball
landing on the left side will roll into the pond, forest or
7th tee. The fourth hole is long, but relativity straight
forward. Otherwise you have a short, wide open course with
greens with little protection. Fire away. The
course is excellent for golfers of all skills and is a great place
to practice your shots or learn the game.
