Housekeeping Cottages on Beautiful Fourth Lake.

Roaring Brook (hear Minnowbrook, enjoy your sleep) was originally a two story boathouse located approximately where the Mountain View cottage is located.  A barn was in its present location.  When the barn burned down (not an uncommon event when green hay is put in the hay mow), the boathouse was moved (would you believe by a horse) to the barn location and converted into a cottage.  The cottage is located near the Minnow Brook which tumbles down the mountain to Fourth Lake, making the Roaring Brook's name very appropriate.  Sweet Dreams

The upstairs has been completely repainted and sports a new carpet.  I'm sure that will make the beds more comfortable.  A few amenities like new lamps, bedspreads, Adirondack bed posts and painted lampshades have also been added. the bedrooms are spacious so the kids can always find a place to play checkers
